Liz Jones makes regular visits to Ross Dhu to help our remedial horses make a full recovery. In fact, some are now so relaxed that they simply cannot stay on their feet long enough to allow Liz to finish!!

As Liz works with our horses she gently massages key areas, this enables her to detect if there are any “issues” that need to be addressed.
It is vital that this massage is carried out on a regular basis and Liz visits our horses every eight weeks, this means that there should not be any major adjustments required but only gentle maintenance for those with long term issues. This means that no horse is uncomfortable and that minor niggles do not develop into major problems.
Often it is the gentle touch from Liz that encourages the horse to push into the pressure and work the problem areas themselves. As Liz works systematically over the horse’s body she locates problem areas and focuses on the tightness, relaxing the horse and giving them a full workout! It is important that all horses get the opportunity for this kind of specialist treatment, when we ride them we can inadvertantly cause damage to muscle groups etc and this can easily be remedied by some TLC from an expert.
A careful check by Tia that Liz is reading the last session notes taken. It is important that a full record of work done and issues found is kept and this enables Liz to track any persistent problems and monitor progress.
