There will be a lot of goings on at Ross Dhu Equestrian over the next few months, we will keep you posted as soon as details are confirmed. Suffice to say there will be some top names in the Natural Horsemanship world visiting our yard and holding demos on site so WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!

THE TEACHER GETS TAUGHT!

For those of my students who regularly receive lessons from me I give them the chance for revenge! I had the privallage to attend a clinic held by legendary horsewoman Lesley Desmond in the picturesque surroundings of Tullich in Argyle and it was a great experience. For once I was the student struggling to get to grips with new concepts and techniques that the instructor made look so very easy (do I hear the sound of cackling laughter and sniggering?). Both Brogan and I tried our very best and yes, we were both corrected on things like:- "look up" and "watch your hands" (now you are all doubled over hysterical no doubt!) and it was great fun. I badly need a tune up and Lesley is a very thorough instructor.

We leanred a great deal on the four day course and I have taken back some great concepts to be working with and to incorporate into our systems of work. Now, for your entertainment I instert the evidence of a study in concentration:-

Of course after a long day in the saddle it is only fitting that a campfire be lit and like minded people gather around for a sing song, a chat and some refreshments!

For the record I don't drink but I can't answer for the rest of my compadres! At any rate a great time was had by all and lots of ideas and opinions were swapped and traded as we all strive to improve our relationships with our horses and ourselves.
