Who are we?

Ross Dhu is the base for Morag Higgins, Scotland’s first Recommended Associate for the Intelligent Horsemanship Association who has now developed her own system of Natural Horsemanship training building on those techniques, principles and feel taught by trainers both human and  equines she has worked with over many years.

Where are we?

Ross Dhu is located in Quarter, just outside the town of Hamilton and its central base makes it easy to access from anywhere in Scotland. It is within a 10min drive of the main artery to the South, the M74 and within a 15min drive of the M8.

What do we do?

Ross Dhu is a place of safety for horses requiring, starting (backing), schooling or re-training. Each horse is treated as an individual and receives an assessment to determine their own personal program of work geared to their needs.

Owners are encouraged to become involved with their horses and help to strengthen the bond between them.

We also offer limited spaces to those clients wishing to stay on as liveries and we guarantee our personal friendly approach will keep you and your equine friends happy and content.
